Every adult in America has a tangled pile of chargers, cords, and cables somewhere in their household taking up an unreasonable amount of surface area. There is, fortunately, a simple solution to this. All your cords can be wrangled with cord catchers and organizers — small clips that adhere to furniture and keep cords (and sometimes other objects) neatly contained.
What to Look for In Cord Catches
There are a few things we look for when shopping for cord catches.
Adhesive: Because you apply these catchers to your furniture, it’s important that the adhesive material is non-damaging. They should be sticky enough to stay put for a long time and also be easy to remove when you need to.
Size of Clips: Clips with a wide mouth can hold multiple cords at a time, as well as other objects like pens. The downside to wider clips is that thin cords like iPhone chargers may slip right through. These catches also come in a variety of shapes, some with a single clip and others with several.
Appearance: We prefer cord catches that are small and discreet so you can easily hide them behind or under furniture. You can also find clips in a variety of bright colors in case you prefer to use them to jazz up your organizational system.
Quantity: Most of our favorite clips come in packs of around eight, but if you hunt around you can find higher quantities — useful since you’re going to want several of these to tuck your cords and cables away neatly whether in your home office, living room, bedroom or den.
